Given to for Christmas 20 years ago. Still have not worn them out. Look great. Go for ten mile hikes at zero degrees and hands are toasty. Buying them for all kids for next Christmas. Hope they are still the same quality.
These are some of the best gloves I have ever owned in 11 years in the military. I was frequently outside walking around aimlessly in the cold doing checks or on patrols. I bought my first pair years ago and still have them, few cigarette burns from long nights freezing/bored standing around but do they still do the job. The gloves come with a miniature side release buckle so you don't have to worry about losing one when not wearing them. They hold warmth and leave enough to be tactile and leave you able manipulate and use your fingers for smaller objects ie keypads, weapon safety, pens, and thin enough to dig around your pockets. I used these in iraq(southern iraq gets cold), kyrgyzstan, europe and numerous snowy stateside bases and have no complaints. They are way better than the huge gloves we are issued or anything else I have used or bought to date. Highly recommend these to those in need of a good warm glove that still need to able to use their fingers and be able to feel what you are doing. I do not know how they rate in temperatures where extreme cold weather gear is needed(arctic or something) but for regular snow, wind, rain around zero degrees and up they have treated me well and held up over time.
I got this as a gift from my mother for Christmas. She had bought it at REI, so I immediately thought it would be a quality product. How wrong I was. Although the mobility and dexterity with the glove is amazing, there is no way you can use this glove for anything out doors related. It does not keep your hand warm at all. Growing up in the cold northeast I am used to my hands being cold but these offered zero protection from the cold and the windchill. I am very disappointed as I had only needed gloves for walking from the parking lot to my job across campus- a ten minute walk in which I felt my hands freeze up.
